Recently, you may have received an email from ASTD Lincoln asking you to get involved with the Knowledge Management Council (KMC) initiative, “Make it Work for Lincoln.” I wanted to give each of you a bit more information about the special partnership between KMC and ASTD Lincoln and why we need your help.
KMC was initiated by ASTD-Lincoln's 2012 President Kevin Mattran and Board, in response to members' concerns regarding a growing need for workers with higher level skills.
Over the last two years, KMC has implemented and began to analyze a business survey conducted with over 200 Lincoln companies. The primary purpose of the survey is to create and increase awareness of the education and skill levels available, while also identifying needs for future development of the workforce in Lincoln.
Now, it’s time to get busy! By getting involved or referring someone from your company to join a focus group, we will gain your valuable insight into your industry’s specific needs when looking for skilled workers! Click here to access the KMC Focus Group Card.
Focus groups will be assembled this fall. I’m looking forward to the opportunity to connect ASTD Lincoln members with KMC and “Make it Work for Lincoln.”
