- Monthly Programs
Learn from the experts in the field. A variety of topics are offered throughout
the year to keep you informed of the latest trends in the industry.
- Workshops
Attend full-day or half-day workshops designed for workplace learning and
performance professionals and tap into cutting-edge practices and current
thinking. Annual workshops, such as Train the Trainer and Advanced Train the
Trainer, are designed to help participants master the specific skills
needed to be more effective trainers or presenters, no matter their experience
in the workplace learning and performance field.
- The Big Event
This annual event is a half- or full-day workshop or conference that features
regionally or nationally known presenters. This event is intended to serve
not only a large percentage of our membership but also hundreds of people
from the community.
- Special Interest Groups (SIGs)
Attend a special interest group monthly meeting to learn more about technology in education today. Students may also participate
in their own Student SIG and be mentored by a professional in our membership. Click here to learn more.
- ASTD National Certificate & Professional Certification
Programs
Improve your skills and increase your value to your employer. ASTD offers
certificate programs in HPI, Training, E-Learning Instructional Design and
ROI. A national competency model was developed in 2005 and a new professional
certification program has been established.
- ASTD Competency Model
Discover how to communicate your role and value within your organization,
and gain a professional development roadmap for career success.
- Scholarships
Can’t afford to attend a workshop, special event or other professional
development program? Members may apply for an ASTD-Lincoln scholarship to assist with
